Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Women who are pregnant have the same rights as women who are not pregnant, and men for that matter. That means it is against the law to discriminate against pregnant women in all areas of public life including employment, accommodation, education, goods and services and clubs.

The right of women to breastfeed in public without discrimination is enshrined in law. That means breastfeeding is okay at work, at public venues, in shops and on public transport.
