Health Issues Centre (2008) How does the Victorian Public Hospital Charter meet the challenges of the new Victorian Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities?
The key intention of this discussion paper was to analyse and make recommendations on the compatibility, or otherwise, of the existing Victorian Public Hospital Patient Charter and the Victorian Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities. The Health Issues Centre (HIC) was funded by the Statewide Quality Branch of the Department of Human Services (DHS) to carry out this initiative.

The Consumer Participation Resource Kit contains information on ways to engage with service users, to listen to their views, and to develop strategies based on their advice with the aim of improving services. Primarily intended for staff working in housing and homelessness services, the kit will assist workers plan, implement and evaluate consumer participation activities within their organisations.

Hume City Council (2007) Social justice charter
The Social Justice Charter provides the policy framework and action plans through which Hume City Council strives to build a just and inclusive city. The aims of the Charter are to promote an active participation, strengthen community wellbeing and reduce the causes of disadvantage. It includes Council's Citizens Bill of Rights for Hume City's citizens.
Victorian Council of Social Service (2008) Using the Charter in policy and practice: Ways in which community sector organisations are responding to the Victorian Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities
Between August and November 2007, 19 forums on the Charter were jointly conducted across metropolitan and regional Victoria by VCOSS, VEOHRC, DHS, and in a number of sessions the Department of Justice.
This report documents stage two of that project in which VCOSS sought to assess the extent to which organisations that had received training had embarked on an implementation process, and to gather examples of the way in which this had been done.
