The Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission's major conference on human rights: an exciting opportunity to reflect on the essence of what human rights means for us all.

2006 Victorian Human Rights Oration

The Victorian Human Rights Oration is the Commission's most significant annual event. This year's guest speaker is Julian Burnside QC, a human rights advocate who in 2004, helped establish The Justice Project - a group that provides humanitarian asssistance and supports basic human rights for all.

The 2006 Oration will be held on 13th December 2006, 12pm-2pm at Zinc in Federation Square, and focus on the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities and how it affects the lives of all Victorians.

The 2006 Oration is open to the general public and will feature a performance and exhibition by Indigenous artists.
